CIRCLE-T Script & Production
About the Script
STASIS is an original play written by Violet Thomson, developed in collaboration with young people from Ireland, Greece and Poland. It brings together theatre, imagination and environmental themes to explore our relationship with nature, the impact of technology and the challenges of growing up.
Set in a future where technology provides everything and nature has disappeared, the story follows twins Cassie and Andy as they begin to question their seemingly perfect, unchanging world. Through encounters with gods, monsters and competing visions of the future, the play invites young people to reflect on growth, responsibility and the consequences of trying to control change.
The resource includes the full script, character descriptions, a scene-by-scene synopsis and design guidance inspired by Solarpunk. Designed for around 20 young performers, with a flexible cast size and opportunities for local adaptation, it offers youth theatre groups, educators and facilitators a starting point for performances, creative workshops and discussions about sustainability.
The original script is available in English. Further translations will be added as they become available.
